Meghan Riordan, LPC

Meghan is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and holds an Education Specialist Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University Chicago. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Butler University.

Meghan has experience working with toddlers, children, adolescents, young adults, and families coping with anxiety, behavioral challenges, ADHD, social skills development, self-esteem, and emotion regulation challenges. Her clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based treatments including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, exposure therapy, and parent coaching. Prior to joining True Mind + Body, Meghan specialized in working with children of all ages coping with selective mutism and providing parent-child interaction therapy adapted for selective mutism (PCIT-SM).

In addition to counseling, Meghan is a long-standing volleyball coach for children and adolescents, with experience in school and travel/club settings. She recognizes the power of a healthy mind-body relationship and continues to encourage young athletes, and clients, to nurture and strengthen this relationship, as it is important to their growth and overall well-being. Meghan strives to create a supportive and collaborative environment by joining the client on their journey and creating individualized plans to help them feel confident facing life’s challenges.
