Madison holds a Master of Arts in Counseling: Art Therapy from Adler University and a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has a Professional Educators License (PEL) in PreK-12 Visual Arts, and is eligible for her licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC), and Provisional Registered Art Therapist (ATR-P). Madison has experience working with toddlers, children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, and challenges related to self-esteem, peer relationships, and life transitions. She is committed to providing developmentally appropriate, evidence-informed mental health care that is tailored to each client’s unique strengths and needs.
At The Art of Well-Being, Madison integrates Art Therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients develop adaptive coping skills, emotional regulation skills, process difficult experiences, and foster resilience and healing. She understands how utilizing creativity and play in therapy can encourage meaningful expression, communication, and mindfulness. Madison’s therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy. She provides a safe and warm environment in which clients feel empowered. Madison’s background as an art educator provides her with a strong understanding of child development, diverse learning needs, and educational systems for her clinical work. She collaborates closely with caregivers to promote consistency across environments to support each client’s social-emotional growth.
